And more recently several different techniques can be used including endoscopic brow lift, coronal brow lift or temp brow lift patient who undergoes forehead lift may experience some numbness and temporary discomfort around the incision. Enhancing your appearance with breast reduction surgery Overly large breasts can cause some women to have both health and emotional problems. In addition to self image issues, you may also experience physical pain and discomfort. The weight of excess breast tissue can impair your ability to lead an active life. The emotional discomfort and self-consciousness often associated with having large pendulous breasts is as important an issue to many women as the physical discomfort and pain. Also known as reduction mammaplasty, breast reduction surgery removes excess breast fat, glandular tissue and skin to achieve a breast size in proportion with your body and to alleviate the discomfort associated with overly large breasts.

Is it right for me? Breast reduction surgery is a highly individualized procedure and you should do it for yourself, not to fulfill someone else’s desires or to try to fit any sort of ideal image. Breast reduction is a good option for you if: You are physically healthy You have realistic expectations You don’t smoke You are bothered by the feeling that your breasts are too large Your breasts limit your physical activity You experience back, neck and shoulder pain caused by the weight of your breasts You have regular indentations from bra straps that support heavy, pendulous breasts You have skin irritation beneath the breast crease Your breasts hang low and have stretched skin Your nipples rest below the breast crease when your breasts are unsupported You have enlarged areolas caused by stretched skin

The excessive weight of overly large breasts can be a burden, causing back & neck pain, shoulder pain, headache, skin irritation, bra strap indentations, poor posture and interference with normal daily activities such as exercise. But many women with large, heavy breast experience more than just physical discomfort, they experience emotional pain as well. Breast reduction is a reconstructive procedure that makes the breast smaller, lighter and more proportionate to the body. The surgery removes fat, glandular tissue, and skin from the breast, it can also reduce the size of the areola, the darker skin surrounding the nipple. This can alleviate the health problems associated with large breast and improve a woman’s confidence in her appearance. Making the breast smaller also allows women to pursue activities they never could before.

Candidates for Breast Reduction Surgery
Women who have breasts that are too large for their frame are excellent candidates for a breast reduction surgery, as they are likely to experience discomforts caused by the weight of their breast reduction may be safely performed on adult women of all age.

Surgery & Recovery
Breast reduction surgery is an outpatient procedure. It is done under general anesthesia and typically takes 2-3 hours.
During the breast reduction procedure, an anchor –shaped incision is made around to areola (the dark skin surrounding the nipple) and extends down the natural curve of the breast to the crease beneath the breast. Excess fat tissue and skin are removed and the remaining skin is tightened to from a newly shaped breast and the nipple-areola complex is repositioned higher. Patients will need to limit strenuous upper body activity and wear a sports bra for several weeks after surgery.
The patients may experience swelling, bruising and minor discomfort but this side effects will lessen as you heal. If you feel uncomfortable because of the size of your breasts, schedule a consultation whit Dr. Ghorabi so that you can learn more details specific to your own individual situation.

Gynecomastia

Gynecomastia can be a result of actual breast gland growth or fatty infiltration of the male breast area. There is often no known cause for gynecomastia, although there have been some correlations with various drugs and medical conditions. Transient gynecomastia is also a common phenomenon during puberty.

Men who feel self-conscious about their appearance can be helped with breast reduction surgery. The options for treatment are multiple and it is important to have a comprehensive consultation with an experienced Plastic Surgeon to reach the right treatment decision for you.

Liposuction only, breast gland excision and full breast reduction( subcutaneous mastectomy) are all possible treatment options depending on the degree of tissue enlargement and the amount of excess skin. The result is a more contoured chest that is flatter and firmer. Treatment decisions are best individualized as each case presents different findings.

Liposuction method requires insertion of a cannula, a thin hollow tube, through several small incisions. The cannula is moved back and forth in a controlled motion to loosen the excess fat, which is then removed from the body by vacuum suction.

Subcutaneous mastectomy is recommended where glandular breast tissue or excess skin must be removed to correct gynecomastia. This method also is necessary if the areola will be reduced, or the nipple repositioned to a more natural male contour.

During your consultation with Dr. Mirabolfathi, a discussion will take place regarding your particular anatomy, degree of excess skin and desired outcome. A treatment decision will be made with you to best match your desired outcome and scar limitations.

Thigh Lift

As they age many people, mainly women, have trouble with excess skin on their thighs. The main reasons are aging, causing reduced elasticity in the skin, or after significant weight loss. Excess skin easily gives rise to eczema and other skin ailments. It is also a significant cosmetic problem that many of the affected feel psychologically bad about. With us at the Esthetics Centre you can, however, receive effective assistance in the form of thigh lifts.

Leaner with the use of plasty
The goal of a thigh lift is to improve the shape of the thighs. This is done by stretching the skin, which increases its strength. Thigh plasty can be combined with liposuction. The thigh is slimmed down by a liposuction and the skin stretched and adapted to the new shape.
Thigh plasty at our clinic

A lift is a major surgery that is always performed under general anesthesia. The operation takes a few hours. At the engagement our experienced surgeons lay a T-shaped section along the inside of the thighs and up to the groin. The scar is initially clearly visible, but fades with time to being nearly invisible. The pain after surgery is usually relatively mild, but one should still expect about 1-2 weeks of absence from work afterwards. Meanwhile, we must also have a tight girdle around the thigh, around the clock. Then girdle is worn for another couple of weeks but only during daytime.

After surgery
When the surgery is complete, you can usually go home the same day and then come back for a return visit in a week. Then the wound healing process is checked and check that everything else looks normal. The stitches are removed about two weeks after surgery.

The scars on the abdominal area usually fade away with time. As with any other surgery, there is a risk of infection, but they are rare after thigh lifts.

Warm and personal care
Our patients’ sense of security is important to us. Therefore you get to meet our skilled and experienced plastic surgeons during the initial consultation.. Together you discuss the aim of the thigh lift your expectations and requirements. Generally, there is a good chance to treat any of the following symptom with thigh plasty:
• Saddlebag thighs
• Loose thighs
• Thighs that are disproportionate big in comparison with the top of the body

The incision is inconspicuous once healed. Following the surgery, a head wrap is placed to protect the ears. Once the wrap is removed in the office, patients are often asked to wear a headband for several weeks. To maintain the new ear position and prevent injury particularly when sleeping.
